Day 40 (24.2.2013): Kaikoura to Christchurch

My last day on the south island – oh, time is passing so fast if you’re having fun!

Easy drive along the east coast southbound back to Christchurch. I returned the car which was heavily used during the last 5 weeks and had a stroll through the city. Visited again the container mall which is a really interesting installation. Wonder whether they’ll keep it now that it has become a cool attraction or whether the shops are moving back to their original locations. I also found some more interesting street art as well as a memorial site to remember those who were lost 2 yrs ago. The big earthquake had it’s 2^nd anniversary just a few days ago.
