Queenstown & Glenorchy
Day 8 (24.1.2013): Lake Tekapo to Queenstown
arrived Queenstown in the afternoon - it's a very lively city or well town but for it's size has everything you could wish for. feels a bit like Banff in Canada just with a beautiful lake next to it :) also this lake, Lake Wakatipu, is as beautiful in color as Lake Tekapo. I really enjoy Queenstown, not only because summer has arrived/ come back.

Day 9 (25.1.2013): Queenstown & Glenorchy
First thing to do today: jet boating with Shotover Jet --- AWESOME!!!! http://www.shotoverjet.com
They drive to so close to the cliffs of the canyon, the boat drives on as little as 10cm of water and then the 360° spins. Really cool!!!

In the afternoon I made my way to Glenorchy - the drive along the lake shore is one of New Zealand's best ones and offers fantastic views of the lake and the alps. In Glenorchy I went for a short 1.5hr walk which offered beautiful views again.
