What happened in the last few days?
On Friday I met my sister Dagmar’s friend Sandra, her friend, and a couple of my friends at the pub James Squire on Russel (between Lt. Collins & Bourke). We had a really good evening.
On Saturday I first was in class for product management and then did some syndicate work on our presentation for Wednesday. Later that evening I went out for dinner and cocktails to Lygon St with a friend … very enjoyable evening.
On “beautiful Sunday” (all our favorite soaps in sequence – “Ugly Betty”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, and “What about Brian”) and Nadja and me made an Austrian/German dinner for the girls – Semmelknödel with Schwammerlgulasch and Donauwellen for desert. Yum!
On Monday, we kept partying ;) – after a work-some day (again prep for presentation) we had uni-sponsored drinks and then – with Nadja and Wally - a lovely dinner at my fav thai place – Lhana Thai @ Flemington.
On Tuesday – you won’t believe it – I finalized my travel plans and booked my ticket to go back to
Wednesday – finally, presentation in the evening for our product management class. Went really well – we had the best slides so far in the program and we also did an excellent job presenting. One of the comments we received was “I did already 18 courses in my MBA program and this was the best presentation I’ve seen so far” Well, thank you – whoever that was!!!
Thursday – nothing mentionable happened ;)
On Friday – yesterday – I helped Nadja to move to her new place. Lot’s of boxes to move up and down (we used the dual moving approach: Adrian moved from Nadja’s new place to her old and vice versa, so we had all the time a full car and boxes to be moved up and other boxes to be moved down again.)
Btw: we attended a really funny comedy show that day as well: when moving we had the car in the garage when these ladies in their BMW X5 (huge car) came along and wanted to park in one of the spots. Well, I don’t know what their problem was (neither Adrian nor Nadja or me would have had a problem to park that car in there) but well she somehow was not able to maneuver the car in that spot … the other women tried to advise her where to go (but I doubt she really knew what she did) … we watched for quite a while … by the time we left to finish our box-moving activities she was in a position we couldn’t believe she got herself in and it looked very difficult for her to get out of it again. Well, when we returned she was gone … *ggg*
Well, Saturday, tonight we’re invited at Davide’s for an original Italian risotto from our Italian friend. Heard he is an excellent cook … looking forward to that …
