Mauritius
I probably mentioned that my friend Karen invited me for her wedding in
We were there for about a week and it was a week-long party. All their friends and relatives … we stayed in a apartment block in Flic-en-Flac. The wedding was on Friday at sunset on the beach. Several marquises were set up … Karen and David looked beautiful/handsome and it was a great and emotional ceremony. The reception was at a hotel close by where we celebrated and danced the whole evening! Thanks a lot!
The rest of the week flew by with scuba diving (nice but not as impressive as I expected it to be), shopping, visits to Port Luis, Mauritius’ capital city, and the Isle of stags which had fantastic beaches and a lot of adventurous activities such as parasailing or banana-boating. However, Karen and me enjoyed a long walk on the beach to the very “end” of the island. There is and “end” because one side of the island is a private golf course and can therefore not be walked on.
I had a great week! Loved it!!!!
